Many have used and misused this expression, not with any pride I'm sure.
If you have been exposed to any negative word, you will probably repeat it sometime in your life. That doesn't make it right, it is just a familiarity with the verbiage.
As a Christian, we know that any and every thing that we say affects our character and reflects the image of our faith. IF our faith is weak, we can hurt others and ourselves. This is not an excuse, but a consequence for poor thinking on our part.
If we are exposed to a more positive environment, we are apt to repeat those same positive words as we grow. If not, it is our own judgment and principles that cause us to use negative, hurtful words. I hope that you will understand that not all white people are thinking, acting and feeling the exact same way. I can only pray that they all eliminate these negative feelings and biases before they pass.

Same reason black people use the word cracker or whitey. Whatever man. I listen to gangsta rap and I like some of it. I have black friends that say white peeps are are this and that, but you all right man. I care about my friends whether they are white or black. Truth is the word is used in songs every day and it is pumped into the ears of our youth.

I have said it numerous times. In my home town there is a park known as niggerpark and everyone in town calls it that, and also I used to say niggerrigged. The only black family in town lived right next to the park. I never meant it bad to me it was just a word. I avoid using those terms now because I realized that it could hurt someones feelings.

I can't speak for any white person or black person or other. I can only speak for myself. That word has been used by anyone who is able to express his or her feelings. I don't believe that the original meaning of the word has vanished, nor do I believe it should be said in hip-hop culture, but I won't pull my hair out over it. It's just a word to me.

I desire I understood the reasoning of why some imagine it really is okay to apply particular words, my youthful brother is likewise particular needs (Asperger's) and via the time i grow to be 8 I hated that note as a lot because the 'N' note. My brother is my hero, he did not end college yet can stay on my own and preserve himself. for my area it really is lack of information resembling those who say the 'N' note applies to all races. The 'R' note is many times used as antagonistic to 'fool'. no count number what, i detect both to be highly offensive.

Um, I don't know all the white people and have never had the chance to ask them. But if I did, I'm sure a lot of them would say "no I've never said that before" and be telling the truth.
Just because you're white doesn't mean you're racist.

I use it a LOT, but not always when referring to black people.
Whenever someone drives by my house blasting rap music, I will use that word, no matter what color the driver is.
Whenever I see someone walking around with their underwear showing, I will use the word no matter what color they are.
Whenever I see someone with a mouth full of gold teeth and 3' long fake fingernails and a 4' high weave, I will use that word no matter what color they are.
Unfortunately, most of the people I have described are black people. Bill Cosby is right, if black people want whites to respect them, they have to respect themselves first.
---BTW, I think WAY more black people use that word than white people.
