Considering the middle class is disappearing and the have's and have not's are farther apart than any other time in history, I would say that one without a college degree will have a radically more difficult time achieving monetary success without a college degree.

Even with a college degree, there is no guarantee. Sadly, those with access to the notion of the "American Dream" is dwindling.

It is not necessary but it helps to have one. Many people in my company do not have one but are successful. The time when not having a degree comes into play is when two people are up for the same promotion and have identical skills and time on the job. Usually the person with the degree will have a better chance.

Maybe, it just depends on where the economy is going. I believe that there are going to be no more jobs at factories like GM/Ford where you get $75/hour and full bennies, but it will be more low paying as there is more intense competition from importers, so yes by having a degree will only help you get a better job, it will not get you that job.

Actually, yes.

Fact is, most fortune 500 executives and ceos and never stepped foot in a college.

College is for special fields such as medical and science, but for everything else college isn't required to get a job.

ESPECIALLY for IT jobs! No employer will take into consideration what IT school you went to when there are thousands of people who self-taught themselves that could do your job better.

IT DEPENDS ON WHAT THE PERSON IS STRIVING FOR.

-YOU COULD MAKE GOOD MONEY WITHOUT A DEGREE, BUT IT JUST DOESNT COMPARE TO HOW MUCH YOU COULD MAKE HAVING A DEGREE.

-YOU MIGHT NOT BE LUCKY ENOUGH TO FIND A GOOD JOB WITHOUT A DEGREE. TO AS IF YOU ARE THEN YOU ARE AT RISK OF GETTING FIRED OR LAID OFF. AND MORE DOORS TEND TO CLOSE ON YOU.

YOUR ARE BETTER OFF WITH A DEGREE

-MORE OPTIONS
-MORE MONEY
-YOU ACCOMPLISH MORE
-AND YOU ARE HAPPIER. : )
