Adding coloured dye to bubble mixtures fails to produce coloured bubbles, because the dye attaches to the water molecules as opposed to the surfactant. Hence, a colourless bubble forms with the dye falling to a point at the base. Dye chemist Dr. Ram Sabnis, has developed a lactone dye that sticks to the surfactants, thus enabling brightly coloured bubbles to be formed. An example of this dye is crystal violet lactone.
These new bubble mixtures are currently only being sold in the USA under the trade name Zubbles.

White light is a mixture of all the colours of visible light.
When you look carefully at the surface of a single bubble you see different colours of light being reflected from the surface. The bubble is receiving white light (from your bathroom lightbulb) and some of that light gets through the bubble and some bounces off. If only red light bounced off you would see red foam. If only red and green light bounced off you would see the average of red and green which is yellow light. Your eyes receive all the light bouncing off the bubbles and then they "tell" your brain what the average situation is...i.e what the "colour" of the bubble foam is.
Your bubbles are actually reflecting light of many different colours and this is why it looks white because the average of all the different colours is white!

Lol, good question. I think it is because the soap is only a small fraction of the entire bath. Therefore it is of low concentration, and it loses its coloring. However also the forming of the bubles causes the soap, to combine with the water, which only takes a very small amount of soap, otherwise it will stay in the liquid form, and still have its color.
