I'd go with the Tiburon. Neon's are junk....I don't care if its the SRT4 or not.

Stay Far Far away from the Neon. The 2.0 L engine they have is the biggest POS ever made. I worked for a chrysler dealer for a short time and I can tell you EVERY Neon WILL need a head gasket EVERY 50,000 miles. If you buy a Neon, or anything with the 2.0 it's not a matter of if, but WHEN you will replace the head gasket. And even if you know somebody, the job is gonna cost a couple hundred dollars.
If the Hyundai is the only other option, that would be my choice.

Hyundai has a lower resale value....so when its time to get rid of it, you will get less for it over the neon, specially being a srt-4.
mechanical wise......I'd go with the neon.
I do paint work on used cars all day long.....I've never seen a clean, nice used Hyundai....when they come in from trade in/auction, they are always falling apart, etc. All of us vendors more or less glue them back together so the dealers can sell them. Hyundai also has the worst paint on the market of any car...tree sap or even bird droppings will eat through the paint in a matter of a day.
new tiburon body is sharp due to designer from Ferrari doing it...but its still a Hyundai.
personally I'd get neither and look for something else.

That depends on how you're going to use it. For straight up racing, I'd recommend the SRT. For day to day use, the Hyundai Tiburon. That one user was right, the Neon is configured more for racing, and bumps and irregularities in the road really make the frame shake.

I'm a very old car person & I'm familiar with the Neon. Their braking system, aluminum wheels, transmissions are to be avoided at any cost. Hyundai's spend more time in the shop than on the highway. If you want the ultimate "street fighter" go for the new Chevrolet Cobalt with the 205 hp. supercharged 4 cyl. motor. It also has 200 ft. lbs. of torque. Don't waste your gas on a Civic. They'd be snack.

The SRT-4 is the best bang for the buck but it's not a comfortable car. It's loud, harsh, stiff and annoying. IF you are looking to go fast for cheap, it's probably the way to go.
A tiberon is a little more refined and comes with a better warranty.
