Some people speculate that she was pregnant with Dodi Al Fayed's child, and if it had been born it would humiliate the royal family (so they put forward that it was an inside job and there was some kind of conspiracy to assassinate her).
I don't know what to think, these things are almost impossible to trace to anyone high-key, and it could just as well have been the drunken driver.
