he did a lot of plagiarism from this other guy that I cant remember his name, and most of his theories though interesting to read, can never be really tested and so only good for reading like a novel or something

An 'unconscious' mental process or event, for Freud, is not one which merely happens to be out of consciousness at a given time, but is rather one which cannot, except through protracted psychoanalysis, be brought to the forefront of consciousness. The postulation of such unconscious mental states entails, of course, that the mind is not, and cannot be, identified with consciousness or that which can be an object of consciousness - to employ a much-used analogy, it is rather structurally akin to an iceberg, the bulk of it lying below the surface, exerting a dynamic and determining influence upon the part which is amenable to direct inspection, the conscious mind.

-- Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy

Freud's views, which are largely out of favor today, centered around his partitioning of the mind into the driving force (Libdo or sexaul energy), the Ego (or adult, rational person), the Super Ego (patrarchial parent or conscience) and Id (animal or childish need). The desire to have fun vs the desire to be good vs the need to integrate into reality all at play with each other.

His other views include Totem (or man's place in the hierarchy of things -- the pecking order and where you are on it) and Taboo (what you can't do in reality).

It's sill a very good framework of human structure.

Most girls will tell you a man thinks of sex every 30 seconds. Most doctors or coroners will hell you a man is found dead cluthing his member better than 50% of the time.

Human invention is largely based on the mortar and pestile or piston. A rod inserted into a tube.

A plunger goes into a tube to break the speed of a door shutting, a bullet goes into a tube to be used as a weapon, a space capsule docks with a funnel shapped missle in space.

Yet psycholgists say Freud got it all wrong!

I worked for the Police department and one weekend the ice cream machine went schizo and gave anyone an ice cream bar who pushed the button. On Monday when the vendor came in and fixed it he was miffed beyond belief. IN a POLICE STATION lunch room, NOT ONE quarter in the machine and NO ICE CREAM left.

My answer is to use Yahoo search. If you used Yahoo search you would be led to a wealth of information and you could narrow it down to your interest. Google is good too. I hope you use search engines to your greatest advantage.
