So I was given this coin and I was wondering what it is. I have never seen anything like it before. It is almost exactly the same size as an american dime. Anyone have any idea what it is?

That looks like a fake/replica/copy of a Judaen bar kochba coin(circa 132-135 AD). I judge based on the script on the coin, which is modern Hebrew, rather than the ancient style of Hebrew characters on genuines. Probably struck as a commemorative token or as a novelty piece.
