May be because they are used more often, so shorter words were found to be more convenient.

Because ....... these words were in flow at past...

They doesnt deviate always,

you can see, saade teen, saade char, saade paanch..

They make a flow actually, easy to remember.

Every Language has some special words........

like for example we often say "Panga mat lo" "Panga" is not an official word but still very famous.
