I used to have a pet rat named Ratigan, she was so sweet she would stay on my shoulder when ever was I home. I gave her baths and everything. She would eat from my hand. The only thing I didn't like about having a rat is that they have a short lifespan compared to a dog or cat.

I adore rats and I own 3 boy and 3 girls know but I had 5 others that sadly died. They are very clean, Intelligent, Loving animals and make great pets and a lot of people don't know this because a lot of people have recoiled in horror when I tell them I have 6 rats. I would recommend them for pets to anyone that likes rats, You have to get pairs of male or female if you get them for pets and also have a large cage with lots of toys for them to play with.

Rats are great :)
Wild ones can carry mites and fleas but they are not evil or mean and do not attack people or babies. They can't help it that the best places for them to live and find food are wherever we are.
Rats make gentle and fun pets. They do not bite like hamsters, they are easier to handle than tiny mice, and they are intelligent enough to train.
Their tails (whether wild or pet) are not scaly or slimy or scary in any way. They've got very fine and soft hair on them and I love to stroke them.
They are cute and loving and clean. The only problem is they don't live long enough.

Pet rats yeah but not wild ones. We used to have two pet rats called Brian and Kevin, they were really sweet

Yes I have 3 as pets and they are loveable and well raised domestic rats never bite.
Wild rats are ok but best to leave them alone as they may bite.

i love rats and they are not poisenous there is no such thing ,the only reason the eyes are red is because white rats dont have any color (pagement)so the red eye is actually like blood and their color i love rats but not because they are cute and have tails but because of their personality i have 6 pet rats and they are siamese ,white and blue also had black.Mine love to play and love too kiss you and to play they are not vicious it depends who raises them well i personally think many people dont like rats because they imagine them filthy but they are actually very clean and social animals.

I like them alright, I had a very sweet "class pet" rat in 5th and 6th grade. I just find it hard to have pets that will only live a few years.

rats are the one of the best animals to have as they are very clean and very loving i used to have rats of my own in fact i had 66 at one time and they were all very loving and my home did not smell with them.if i could i would have them again

I love rats, (I don't mean the men I know), I had 4, Kiefer, Merlyn, Harley & Casper, for a long time & even though I always got an allergic reaction to them when I got them out of the cage, I loved them to bits. xxx
