Its NEVER been about OIL..

2007-02-01 05:19:09 · answer #1 · answered by Delia 2 · 2 0

Actually, I don't think that's on the US agenda at all. There are no facts or evidence to support that being important to Bush or to the US in the least.

But we do know that France felt strongly about Iraqi oil, as highly placed people close to Chirac and his government received many oil vouchers in the UN Oil-for-Food scam, and that France violated the ban on arms sales to Iraq, solely to secure their oil.

This is because the US didn't get oil from Iraq, but France did.

Isn't it amazing how facts and logic work so well together?!

Anytime someone brings up oil for the reason we are in Iraq I simply stop listening because it's not worth my time. For your information, we get most of our oil from South America, not the Middle East. So if Bush was really interested in taking over the oil industry, wouldn't he be trying to invade South America?

Absolutely not. Saddam insulted and threatened his daddy. Also, in an interview before the second election GWB was quite clear that he wanted to write his name into history as a great "world leader", the US presidency was the vehicle he planned on riding there in.

Yes & the Iraqis knows that. Thats why there`s no ceasefire there. America have no right to intervene in Iraqs domestic affairs, to "bring them democracy" it`s nonsense. The world doesn`t buy that crap.

No, but I'd sure like to know WHAT his agenda really is.

I don't think its his only agenda but the extra $$$$$ aren't hurting him and his family/friends. I think he was just very, very misguided.
