VCR's. they came out in the 70's. My familys first VCR had a corded remote control in like 76 or 77.

My high school had apple IIc computers in the mid 80's, I had cable tv (only 13 channels) in the early 80's and CD's came out in the mid or late 80's. I dont recall exactly when.

First CD hit the market in 1982.
Microsoft took off in the early 80's.
VCR's mass marketed in the 70's.

Can't find any definitive information about cable tv tho'. Comcast Cable started in 1966. I seem to remember getting cable in the ealry 1980's. So I guess I will go the VCR's on this one.

We got our first desktop computer in 1987. It was a Commodore 128 with a monocolor screen and no one knew what interent was yet. And a dot matrix printer... primative, but the standard at the time.

I would have to say cable television. I remember distinctly having cable tv in my house in southern Florida in the mid 70's. And most of my friends had it, as well.

I'd go between VCRs and CDs...CDs because they didn't really explode into use till the 1990s.

Computers. They weren't affordable or the size that you could have in your home till the 90's.
