I'd don't think you really need one. You might be better off checking with your local goverment. Starting at your City Hall is a good start.

handyman license is given out by the city. no need to even think about the state. city will like to know how much you think you are going to gross that year, and will charge you. its a scale. the more you gross the more you pay !!! good luck in your work.

All you will need is your handymans license..I've had mine for years..

In my community there is a business privlage license.
