Mac has its own software just like Windows has its own software. The software is written to support either OS or both, so saying why is nothing compatible with Mac, is like saying there is nothing compatible with Windows.. There is more software for Windows because the majority of the world uses a Windows OS, so therefore the people that make the software want to make more money, understand? There is emulution software that will allow microsoft applications to run in a MAC OS anyways..

Happy bunny you must be joking, you dont know what you're talking about! The mac slow????! And it's a known fact they've always been more user friendly. I dont think you've ever used one.
Today's macs are compatible with lots of stuff and the new ones can run windows and mac's own o.s. Only downside is pc's and pc software more readily available and alot cheaper.

Can you be more specific? You say nothing is compatible yet I have software, games, and hardware all happily running trouble free on my mac. The idea of nothing being compatible with a mac is a fallacy that mac-haters like to spout.

It goes back to the mac's inception. Since Bill and Steve were always at eachother's throat, Steve put the lockdown on the mac and made it as absolutely proprietary as possible. While windows isn't exactly open source, M$ has always tried to help as many hardware and software makers as possible to be able to use windows, mac on the other goes above and beyond to try to maintain as stable of a platform as possible, as as proprietary as possible as well. With the difficulty of developing on the MAC platform, since they clasp their arms around their technology, many companies just won't deal with apple.

if you are referring to windows features or the internet, it depends on the hardware you are using. During the time when most of the early (apple) mac computers were created most of the modern day features and the internet did not exist. It would be possible to get the internet on such a computer, but you would have to have the appropriate hardware and memory upgrades (keep in mind that most early computers had only 16 mb of memory, if that, whereas it is usually necessary to have at least 256 mb to be able to get the internet and run other programs in succession). The same goes with using other features that were not designed for a mac.
