nowadays it is hard to find ppls to work in fields bcoz of the low wages and hassle in it. apart from this fertilizers rate gone up, drought, floold etc.. so most of the agriculture lands are converted in to school, college, company buildings etc... im seeing this happening in my native village (also throughout india), lot of farmers and landlords gave up farming. once agriculture is called as "backbone of india" , by seeing all these things what u think about future of agriculture?? any suggestions to improve??

India is land of villages & Agriculture is still the largest occupation in India.You are correct but future of agriculture in India is very bright.
ppl in India are over crowding in cities to get the job.This over saturation will lead open various Fields in career,job option in Indian agriculture.
Biotechnology(in agri) is vibrant field in which India is developing in faster rate because of R&D[Research & Developement] established by India to develop the yield of crops in India due to increasing demand of food.
All we need to do a proper management in this field by the govt, to create awareness abt career options in Agri.. .So tht our new gen will be capable to create another green revolution in India.

hi better way to improve the agriculture lands is by providing them the helping hands from IT and BT companies. they need to invest in this place not in share market and get a huge profit they know that if farmers stop the cultivation and sell their lands to them they will loose the foods which are been grown in the place where they are going to build their buildings. and also govt has to apply a rule that the people who were into the culltivation should carry on the same process and stop the registration process of these green valley property and also provide sufficient power, water and fertilizers to the farmers at concession rates because they the future ............

India has gradually decreases his productivity from the agriculture. Why because of all of the villages are converted into a smaller cities.

future is definitely bright with the arrival of reliance fresh, bharathi and walmart into indian retailing.

the farmers have an opportunity to hit the market directly without depending on the middle man who pays them a paltry value

the future of agriculture is definitely going to boom especially since we are a country of a bilion and there are so many mouths to feed. Agriculture needs to be mordernised.

We should also start exporting food grains to other countries

India is too smart to be working in the fields get China to do that they have lots of land... and if you live in a village how do you have a computer?
India is growing rapidly, and it should be modern not old fashioned as you want it to. India has too many smart people to waste time on crops!!!

Water,food,health,education,shelter,emploments,these r vital needs,u can't separate each one from any.What u see every rational thinkig person won't have any argument with you.If a country wants to progress ,the govt.has to take care of these points.NOW ALL R BECOMING AWARE,and midia is playing a big roll.All R LEARNING ,AND REALISED THAT NEGLECTING ANY OF THOSE POINTS MENTIONED,will result in anorchy,destabise,the socity.The lapses r noticed and will be addressed.so cheer up ,

Really donno! Lookin at the course things are takin, it doesn't look good. But I hope we do not let down agriculture! No country can survive without it's crops, unless it is too rich to purchase food for all its people; and definitely not ours! Western countries went ahead with industrialisation only after properly strengthening their agri!

unless it is treated as Industry and fragmented lands are are joined to make a farm n and scientific methods implemented and politicians so far negelcted this secor come forward to in real sense to boost it and MAKE USE OF THE WOLRD RENOWNED AGRI-SCIENTIST DR MS sWAMINATHAN , i AM AFRAID I THE FUTRE IS BLEAK.
