What do you think of this controversial rumor?

nope, i dont believe it, but i understand how someone might draw those conclusions.

i do feel, however, that with a little organization, and paying attn to the things that were ACTUALLY happening in the world, as opposed to the issues the Bush cabinet usually focuses on, they'd have seen it coming and stopped it. and ever since, they've focused on several superficial things intended to make us feel safe, and when there are actual issues that matter, they bring up something else to scare us.

No, it's not a conspiracy by the gov't. And Bush could've prevented it, but it was primarily Clinton's responsibility. Read the 9/11 comissions report. Sandy Berger (Clinton's top aide) ate documents from the National Archive and although everyone knows they related to the Clinton administrations inability or unwillingness to deal with terrorists, Usama Bin Laden in particular, nobody knows what the documents said. Now that is a cover up and proves that Clinton had the opportunity to take these guys out but, didn't because he knew it would be unpopular.

I know the word is conspiracy - there is no such word as conspiration.

I mention that not to put you down, but to note that when individuals aren't even concerned enough to research the proper language, they probably also don't research the facts.

In this case, there are no facts. Someone with more imagination than intelligence started this nonsense, and others carry it along because it sounds exciting or mysterious or something.

The 9/11 attack was quite horrible enough as it was. There is no need to try and add dimensions to it that don't exist.

Maybe it was really an attack by monsters from outer space disguised like Arabs? Oooooooo...

either that or american air defenses are worse then third world countries. they let a caveman fool norad, usaf, and who knows what other defenses. highly unlikely. but as the american public has been summarily dumbed down and used to 15 second sound bites from the talking head, it would not be hard to convince them a caveman pulled this off.

This is completely inappropriate. Not only is the tragedy of 9/11 a highly sensitive topic, but it is so insulting that you would even address this as a possible fact. Disgusting.

Shame on you.

No, I don't think it was a government conspiracy. I wish I still had the web site that de-bunks that theory. But if I could find it, anyone can, you just have to want to search out the TRUTH.

i think people are dense and close-minded to assume it could not be ... i reffer them to "operation northwoods" which was an actual plan to fake hijacking planes and kill US citizens back in the 60s' ... people act like its so far fetched when its not even a new idea .. its one the govt has thought about before as a justification for war ...
