I'm the secretary for a section consisting of 7 people. It's only 2 that are bothersome. They ask what am I eating, where did I buy it from, would I like to share, etc. Short of leaving the office when I eat, what do I say or what do I do to get them to leave me the h*** alone? May I please have some serious suggestions as well as some hilarious ones?
Thanks,
Mom of B & D

Scott K - nice doesn't cut it. I smile and answer their questions-yet they keep it up and I'm quite tired of being nice.
Infamous Vinnie G - The boss IS one of the two!!

Tell them your husband works for the World Wrestling Federation, or, you have a mysterious rash you can't seem to get rid of.

Just ignore them when you are eating and enjoy your food - actually totally go to town with the haute cuisine and suggest a few recipes if they want to make their own.

It seems they can't make themselves a sandwich! That's sad.

Well....you could say..."Next question about my food or like to share...ITS YOUR TURN TO BUY OR MAKE lunch/supper for me and I get to pick whatever I want!" lol
I know they are annoying when they do that especially when you are trying to eat in peace.
Good luck!

Tell them what you're eating is a dish that is found in some foreign country you KNOW they won't know what it is...tell them it tastes like **** but your doctor told you to eat it. Or tell them the main ingredient in it is tofu. lol

Honestly though, I would just say...I buy my food. You buy your food. Leave me alone :)

tell them "I haven't showered in weeks, I placed second at the national burping contest, I like tacos with no meat lettuce or sauce, and fish swim underwater". all in that order without pausing.

Tell them, nicely, that you don't like sharing your food and can they please quit pestering you when you eat. If that doesn't work, you might have to get a little rude with them and tell them to quit bothering you. Worst case scenario, you might have to complain to the boss about them.

I assume you eat lunch at your desk. Print up a colorful Do Not Disturb sign and put it out at lunch
