Because who cares what a bunch of strangers think?

If I am writing an anaylisis report for my company, or putting together a presentation, then I would use better grammer.
But this is the internet PASS TIME game.
Who cares honestly.

It is just them being lazy. I have to admit I am guilty of doing the same thing sometimes. It is maybe just a little bit faster for them to write "i" instead if "I".

Sadly they are too lazy to use proper grammar, spelling, capitalization or sentence structure. You bring up a good point. The "i" business is annoying to me, as well at the idea of using "n e way" instead of "anyway" or "c u later" instead of "see you later."

No. I for one am just lazy. It's easier to use small letters when trying to type fast...and easier for text messages on my phone because otherwise I have to hit another key before the I to capitalize it.

Few people have taken the training to type gramatically correct. I don't expect it on casual chat online at all.

No, people just don't feel like pressing the shift key. It just slows down your typing.

Just lazyness. You need to hit one extra key to make the i a capital one.
