I agree, Ken. The whole thing was blown massively out of proportion by the (appalling) national press, who loved every second of it.
I do think it's time we all shut up about this, though.

I absolutely agree that jealousy caused the majority of the issues on Big Brother and the fact that Shilpa is Indian was almost academic. I would love to agree with you that the majority of Brits accept their neighbours regardless of race, but unfortunately, I don't believe that to be the case. Maybe by the next generation we will have evolved enough to stop the stupidity.

yes i am fed up with the whole big bro media hype, but i also think that the producers had alot to do with they way people saw what was going on in the house, they could of put a stop to the bullying well before it got out of hand so you cant really just blame the press.i have to say i don't really like shilpa that much but i did feel sorry for her a little when the three witches of BB started on her.i don't think our country is that accepting of different cultures even though we like to think we,hopefully that will change.my daughter is quarter Arabic and the only person who does not think she is the most beautiful girl in the world is my mates boyfriend so there definitely are ignorant people out there still.

I think it is getting beyond a joke now. Why people want to be famous I dont know. Every move they make affects their whole family an d I dont think it is right that Shilpa has made all that money out of the whole thing it is sad.

I'm sick of all reality TV. If people really have nothing better to do than watch a group of people living within a confined space (prison for want of a better description) then they really are just wasting their own lives. But yes, i am fed up of the big brother crap. it says a lot for this country that someone like Jade can become a millionaire of the back of being so stupid. I blame her mother though.

I am totally fed up with it - and I have never even watched the program!!! The program and everything said or done on it are irrelevant to the real world. The inmates are showbiz people. Their natural inclination is to draw attention to themselves - it is professionalism as normal and I do not criticise it nor do I criticise those who choose to watch the program. What I do condemn is all the media hype and attention the program has been given - it is a waste of space.

HERE HERE. The whole thing is a bloody farce. Yes unfortunately there are a handful of ingnorant no-brainers like Jade in the UK, at the same time the vast majority are open minded, intelligent and certainly not racist.
