I am right now a junior... I'd really liek to get into the University of Illinois- Chicago. I'm not sure what kind of major i'd liek to do yet but i know i want to do pre-med. I understand its difficult to get intp the pre-med program but what exactly do they look at for freshman wanted to do the major? Is it a certain something??

For sure excellent grades. As for course a solid mixture of arts and sciences..must include chem and bio for sure and maybe a psych,english..along with a calculus.

Also,develop some great study habits ,volunteer in your limited free time...and ask alot of questions at the faculty of medicine,let them know your going for it 100%...without being annoying. Great marks,a great attitude,and a commitment in your community...will add to your life experience agenda..which is something else they like to see...good luck
