Of course you are upset. She doesn't have to like your taste in clothing, but she should be tactful enough not to say things like that to her daughter in law!
Surprise... a woman at least 16 years older than you doesn't have the same taste in clothes. Thank god, or we'd all be dressing the same!
It's hard not to take things personally, but sometimes, you just have to laugh at how rude some people can be. Keep your chin up and dress that baby boy exactly how YOU want to. He is, after all, YOUR child. And I'm sure he'll look adorable!
Good Luck and Much Happiness to your family!!!

Your right to be a little upset but the hormones are probably not helping ...
there will come a time when u appreciate having a night off and wont care what she dresses him in..... hes your little boy not hers so dont worry too much ...

Yeah hormones are something else but in this case I think your mother-in-law was wrong for saying what she did. I guess the age difference is what makes your taste in clothing so different. Congrats and good luck!

mother in laws are a trip! but it is nothign to stress over. So what as long as she but the clothes back on that you had when come to get him I wouldn't care. Don't stress grandmas are grandmas but at least he will have more than enough clothes.

No you've got every right to be pissed off! End of the day your the mother to this baby boy and you should dress him in what ever you want and other people should mind there own busness.

I don't think you are being over-sensitive. It's a pretty mean and unnecessary thing to say. He's your child and you have the right to decide how to dress him.
She probably wasn't being totally serious though, so just ignore her!

Just look at it this way. The clothes that you send him over in will be sent back clean and the clothes that she puts him in will get dirty or stained.
