I want my Xbox 360 to have the best graphics possible. Is there some kind of adapter that I can buy to make it look like HD on my standard TV?

Of course not, standard TV's technology is based on a much lower resolution and you can't change it.

You will have to have an HDTV to get HD quality. And you don't have to "subscribe" to any service if you do have an HDTV. I bought an HDTV and I have the Xbox 360 premium package, which comes with the cables that I need to play games in HD. So all you need is the correct cables and an HDTV, but if you dont have an HDTV it won't work.

The simple answer is that you need an HD television in order to have HD graphics. Most HD televisions are around $2,000 to $3,000. So look around at your local best buy and pick up one if you have the spare cash.
