Can someone give me good advise. I have been ttc for about 8months with no luck. Most of these months I have successfully tracked my LH with OPK's and ovulated on the 17th day of my 31 day cycle. However this month I started my period a couple of days early so I have taken OPK's from the 24th of this month (just to be safe)with a view to Ovulation day being today the 1st of Feb, today. (my 17th day) For some reason I still have not detected my LH Surge. I havent missed it have I. Have had intercourse for past two days and will continue for next 4 or 5 or so. Does this mean I am not ovulating. It is such a stress. Not sure where I am.

Stop stressing, When people put to much thought into ttc they forget about why we have sex with our other in the first place we love them they're sexy or what ever it may be. Just relax stress changes a lot of things in a persons body just go with the flow of life.

You may not have ovulated this month. It's not uncommon for some women to skip a month. Heck, some women only ovulate every other month due to a lazy ovary. Keep faith, keep checking for that LH surge, and keep on having the fun part of baby making. If you reach the 1 year mark of ttc, see your doc to find out if there are any problems with the plumbing (yours or your husbands). Good luck!

It is possible that you are ovulating later than you thought you would. Stress can cause you to ovulate late. You should try charting your basal body temp, it will give you a better answer of if you are ovulating. It doesn't help to tell before you have ovulated, but knowing after does help too especially after a few months.

You can get your Dr to send you for a blood test on teh 21st day of your cycle to see if you are for sure ovulating. THe blood test tests the progesterone levels in your blood to see if you ovulated. If you aren't, you can start a 50 mg low dose of clomid to get things started. Talk you your Dr. You've been trying for 8 months now...time to ask for help.
