The prosecutor said that the signs were placed "with the intention that they would be mistaken for a bomb" --any sane person looking at the sign would know that this is not the case. Why are Boston Blue State Democrats Not More Tolerant Of Art? Or At Least Common Sense.

Yes yes, Boston is not a state, but considering the city is the seat of state government and that the entite state is built around it (as much as you western Mass. folks want to disagree)- I feel confident enough to say that the people in charge of the city (and the state) are Democrats.

Overreacting is one word, bubba. And, if you think that the state government, city government (et al) is 100% Democratic, you need to do your research.

Wow I was unaware that Boston was a state! When did the secede from Massachusetts?

I am unsure of how you are basing a states political affiliation, with the opinion of ONE prosecutor. That seems a little naive, and an very ineffective way of differing information.

America is living in a climate of FEAR. With little terror scales that never seem to dip below Elevated, a constant barrage of media telling us that there are terrorists amongst us.

How many times were post offices, office building, a station centers shut down during the anthrax scare?

How many times, has a plane been held up, airport mall, shop evacuated for a forgotten bag.

You live in a reactionary time due to the climate of fear created by the government, deal with it.

It's not their fault. GWB has been keeping this country in the grip of fear since 9/11. For the last 5 years there hasn't been a single "green" day on the terrorist alert scoreboard. They're just a little more paranoid than the rest of us. I'm wondering why anyone would think that a foot square "light bright" image of a mooninite was a bomb. Terrorists try to make their ordinance blend in not stand out.

It's not a matter or crazy liberal vs. sane conservative. It just seems to me that just about everyone has been captured by this phony terrorist propaganda since 9/11. No one can distinguish the truth from fiction. If you still possess some common sense and the capacity for independent thinking, then kudos to you (no matter what your politics are.)

Had they not attached them to bridges and the other places that a bomb would assumed to be attached, I don't believe it would have been so intense. Seeing the fact no one knew about what was going on, this group really didn't use very good judgement in their discision . They need the book thrown at them.

I'm liberal & don't understand how so many people didn't
reconize the cartoon symbol. Looks to me like I'm the only
one who has ever seen Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Because the liberal answer to anything is government action. Action funded by money that comes out of our pockets.
