Can a Club be an Association? Can an Association be a Club? How does a Homeowner's Association differ from a Club? Does a Homeowner's Association provide for social events such as a dinner/dance?

1. The words: club, association and society are commonly used interchangeably. If there is any difference, then a club might be less formal. All should have a constitution that sets the rules for determining membership, electing officers, organising meetings etc. The legal term for such an organisation is an "unincorporated association". Or at least it is here, in the United Kingdom.

2. It looks like you have posted your question in the wrong site location. It appears as a UK & Ireland question. Here we do not have homeowners' associations.

3. Here are a few websites of homeowners' associations to give you an idea of what they do for their members. You can find more if you search.
a) Acres of Ireland HA (Howard, Colorado)
http://acresofireland.org/
b) Crestwood Village Five HA (Whiting, New Jersey)

c) Lynnwood HA (Palm Harbor, Florida)

d) Whitmore HA (Acworth, Georgia)

4. This webpage gives details about the US legal basis for homeowners' associations, and any problems that may arise between an HA and its resident members.

I don't think there is a difference, Clubs tend to be social, associations tend to be more serious, I've been members of both, It depends--------
