I'm 14 and my family feels strongly about being christians and they're very religious I guess you could say.... I'm agnostic/atheist and there's no way in heck I would tell them... They act like if your not a christian your scum or something. I'm getting so sick of my mother saying don't do that its not christian-like when it's not even my religion! I'm forced to go to church also. I don't know what to do. I'm sick of having to follow rules of a religion im not a part of. Any suggestions? I'm just really frustrated. I was hoping someone could understand where I'm coming from.

I grew up Catholic, went to Catholic gradeschool, and church every week, sometimes 2x a week and HATED IT! By the time I was in 8th grade, I pretty much figured out that I wasn't buying into this religion...BUT there was nothing I could do as long as I was living in my parents home.
Once I left for college, I was able to research more religions and live my life the way I saw fit.
Unfortunately I think you'll just have to stick it out until you move out of the house or go off to college. Use the time in church to meditate, or think about your upcoming week, etc. Just bc you are there physically, doesn't mean you need to spend the time praying if that's not what you believe in.
