You must file taxes even if you had such a small income. You might be even eligible for some credits, even if you did not pay taxes in.

You can file for a refund of any federal income tax withheld. Your income is not great enough to require that you file a tax return. In other words, you don't have to file unless they took out FIT and you want it back or you want the earned income or child credit refunded to you. With a qualifying dependant child, you are eligible for the earned income credit and a credit for a child, so you can possibly get more money than you actually paid in, paid back to you. Nothing to lose and a lot to gain - file your tax return.

You don't have to pay any income taxes, but you may be eligible for earned income credit. So you should file income tax return to get some extra money. Contact a near by Volunteer Income Tax Preparation (VITA) center and they will prepare your taxes free of cost.

Yes, you can file, but remember, one of the questions regarding the claiming of a Dependent is that you provided a home, and over half of his support. If all you earned was 160.00 it will be a tough sell to say you provided his support. If government agencies were the one who supported you, then you can file and get back all of what you paid in to the Federal and State Taxes.
good luck & blessing
PS - If you were to claim and be eligible for EIC, it would be around a third of what you earned.....
