Here's a prime example of what is happening in our country concerning our concern for American Families. What do you think should be done?

I'm angry at the lack of concern for the citizens and the over concern for the big corporations...why isn't the rest of America's citizens???

Never in the history of America have the working class worked harder and harder for less and less reward for their hard work.
Never in the history of America has the corporations been so wealthy while the working class has been so poor.

Slavery was abolished over a hundred years ago...why is the current administraton trying to revive it?

American people work harder than any other nation of people with fewer vacations, more over time and less reward.

I'm sick of hard core Republicans thinking the American people want something for nothing. Their propaganda is a lie to promote big corporations. I am so angry and I have a very tight grip!!

I understand what you are saying TICKLEME, the people today don't work as hard as they did before but the kind of work people do is very different but most people I know are having to work two or even three jobs and all their jobs have no insurance or retirement and they have children they are trying to raise. Rent is outrageous and over priced and fuel prices are going up a lot faster than salaries which creates expensive groceries. We blame parents for not staying home with their kids but just to pay rent, transportation and food takes a lot more than two people making $8.50 an hour. It just seems so wrong to me. You are right, service is really slipping in this country and many employees are slacking off but not the people I know...the people I know work hard and give 200 percent and still have nothing to show for it but a head ache.

The Republican party focuses more on profit. The Democratic party focuses more on "the people."

By this i mean that many conservatives have forgotten that combined as one, the average everyday American is more powerful and more important than anything the powers that be seem to want.

I also blame foreign spending. As a person who was in New Orleans during hurricane Katrina, i have to see everyday how badly the city still looks in certain parts every day. I know we much rebuild what we destroy (Iraq), but how come it has taken so long for some people in government to realize up until recently how bad things were here?

Thats because some in the Government are in it for profit. Consider this: If the New Orleans area was rich in oil like Iraq today is, do you think the response would have been faster?

There is more profit in other regions beside that area. That why the response was delayed. But that will also hurt some around election time. That shows that we are actually in charge! Money is nothing without the people to give it to you.

I understand your frustration....but I also know....everyday rather I am here on this site....or perhaps playing Isketch on line....there are people all across this nation that is at work, getting paid and on here along with me....Maybe if people would truly be productive while they are at work...employers could afford to compensate family needs more....All I am trying to say....it doesn't just start with the govenment....or employer....there are many that have hurt it for the rest of us.....just my 2 cents what ever it is worth.

Never in the history of America have the working class worked harder and harder for less and less reward for their hard work.

I am not sure I can agree with this....I know there have been times especially during world war 2 when women were busting chops in the factories...and taking care of the home completely...I am just saying...I think for the most part....Americans are by far lazier and have an entitlement attitude more than ever before.

I know myself personally....I do not labor even close to what my grandma did....In the garden....taking care of her home....family....canning.... laundry on the line....I know for a fact women don't have to work as hard in the homes as the women before us....and I know men can say the same.

Sorry....I got a little off track....but I do think there are a lot of lazy people....

For a second I thougth you had a real issue.
Sorry but those who think that work has to conform to them has got it backward.
They are the one who pays you for your skills.
What should trouble you as far as family values goes is when both parents feel they have to work and ingore the kids.
The work place is just that work places.

We should make it such that one parent stays home.
Also teach parents that you don't have to have all the toys and buy all the toys for your kids.
The number one thing kids want is time with their parents.

That is value that should be stress not that I should be able to take my kid, dog, or whatever to work.

Get a grip.

It's in between election cycles. They've forgotten them. They just dust them off to rile-up the ultra-religious and bigots in America, make promises they don't intend on keeping. Then put them away to use another day.
