Sometimes it is nice to play a video game and take out your aggression on the people in the game instead of the people in your life.

As with everything, moderation is the key. If you are spending most of your free time playing video games, you probably should make an effort to get out more.

I don't think that's true in every case, or even close. Some people just like to play video games. Some may become obsessive about it, but that doesn't mean they're hiding or not happy with themselves. Sometimes people just do things because they enjoy it... what's wrong with that?

some are to some video game users playing video games is their safe haven. It is place were they focus on their game and forget everything else.
