Yes we do need a modern day Joe McCarthy. Everyone Ive talked too sees Joe McCarthy as some kind of heavy handed goon on a witch unt. Time has proven him right. Hollywood was full of communists at the time. Today it has spread not only in hollywood but their friends in media ABC, CBS, NBC are seriously bent left. The LA times the New York times, SF Chronicle, the Mercury News are all communist rags full of leftist propaganda.

No we need intelligent youth that do not accept verbatem what teachers and professors teach as "fact" the internet allows much indoctrination through seemingly "truthfull documentation" or even accepted history, but it isn't, it is contrived in the manner the professor wishes to sway it and convince his students of what is "right thinking" and "proper" it is brainwashing. I see so many students on here getting angry over what they "have heard" "have been taught" "saw on some site" They better get reading in the library, books approved by our trusted scholers on the "history of the nation" Also go read the microfilms, Search the truth out, don't just believe blindly! Listen to others opinions and then research, don't turn a "know it all" deaf ear, search out the truth! It will set you free.Thialand and other countries use the web to indoctrinate and change the thinking of students to make them more succeptable, meldable to Government thinking. Check this out as example it's scary---by an individual or other unit of adoption."

My point is don't believe all you read and see on the net, check it out yourself befor going bananas. And more than anything, trust in the Democratic process and Americas ability to right wrongs and proceed productively! We do choose our leaders Thank God! And we have in place a sound Congress, God Bless America! McCarthyisim was in part due to media fed hysteria and lack of education in our public allowed for the mob mentality that ruined the lives of so many people and no one even bothered to find out if the accusations were true or not!

I never understood the get rid of the communist issue. What were they doing anyway. So what if they believed in a different form of Government. I think it was a ploy by Joe McCarthy to somehow benefit himself and cronies.

No. The communists can have their party too, it doesn't mean that a large number of people will support them. The concepts in communism are contrary to the principles in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Besides why would you want to bring in McCarthy's fascism? its as contrary to democracy as communism is.
