the dryer balls actually: help your clothes dry faster [cheaper power bill and less wear and tear on your machine]; as well as eliminating static without using those nasty chemical dryer sheets [those actually leave chemicals in your clothing to be absorbed by your body as you wear them]; and are gentle on your clothes [so that you don't have to run out and buy more quite as often] I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THEM!

I asked this Q a few weeks ago and got the same responses as now - I bought them the following weekend and have been using them since and they are great, helps dry stuff so the machine is on for 15 mins less than previously.

They work pretty well and prevent allergies from the chemicals used in softeners. If you use 1/4 glass of vinegar in the first or second rinse your clothes will be even softer because the alkalinity of laundry soap will be removed.

Hey, good question, I;ve just bought two drier balls today and eager to see the answers. I can't use tumble drier sheets as they make my hands sore.

they are fantastic ! cut my drying time for the bath towels in half
one small tip if you have a Poundland store near you in the UK go there i got my dryer balls there and they are just as good as JML !

I use tennis balls for things like down filled jackets,comforters,and even shredded foam pillows. They work great!! ;-)=
