The doctor should advise you on this, since it depends on what type of tubal ligation you are having, and for what reason you have the D&C done. Also, the type of work you do will make a difference: You can go back to sitting at a desk all day a lot quicker than you can go back to loading boxes onto a UPS truck.

You'll have to refrain from any physical exercise for about a week after your surgery, although you'll be able to be up and about (in a gentle way) within a day or so.

It all depends on your ability to heal, and when you think you can resume your type of work, i had tubes tied and was up and walking the same day(after having a baby) but i was unable to lift anything but a gallon af milk, or my new baby for 6 Weeks. (dr orders) but after about 2 i started to lift more. I would consult your DR and tell them what your job intails and let the DR decide.
