You don't want to really. It was a learning experience and remembering what happened will make you a stronger person.

Isaiah 65:17 shows that when God's Kingdom restores Paradise to earth, the 'former things will not be called to mind'. So the best way to forget something that happened to you is to live forever when suffering has come to an end. :) Learn about God, who's will it is that you come to an accurate knowledge of him and his purposes. What will it matter in 4,000 years that something happened to you so briefly, compared with the peaceful years behind you and with an eternity of blessings stretching in front of you?

Forgetting it is not the answer. Dealing with it is what you should be trying to do. Depending on your personal capabilities and the type and severity of the "bad", you may be able to work through it on your own or with close family/friends. However, I suggest a personal counsellor might be your best option to help you work through it all. Good luck to you. :)

I had to forgive the person (in my heart) and then I finally had to forgive God for letting it happen to me. Now I'm starting to forgive myself. It took years but I was stubborn and very hurt. Time is a healer and so are good memories to take the place of the bad ones.

when some thing bad happens to you the best way to forgive them and have a more optimistic attitude in life......revenge only breeds bad taste and brings out the pessimism in you....and it also brings in negative thoughts....but if you do feel you want to let it out....speak to some of your close friends about it...and you will definitely be more at ease ...
