What bothers me the most is the fact that you know he doesn't wash his butt. If this is your boss, you might want to carefully sneak it in conversation. OR what I used to do when someone didn't smell too hot is get air freshener spray and spray it in my office when the stinky person came in. That can kind of give them an idea that they may have a stench problem. =)

What kind of question is that? Leave your boss and his butt alone. He should fire you if you do that. Your boss must have a family or somebody like that, unless he is a hermit, let them tell him. I think you are out of line.

There is no easy way to do this! You can try dropping some hints by bringing in some mens bathing sample products, Or you could be bold and simply say I don't want to hurt your feelings or jeopardize my job but I wanted to talk to you about your body Oder. I have noticed you have some body odor and wanted to mention it to you in case you didn't notice. I am just trying to be nice and bring your attention to this as others might have noticed and not mention it to you. In any situation it's not easy. Good Luck!

I would suggest you NOT tell your boss to do anything.... buy a can of air freshener...or burn a candle in your office...and deal with it!

Maybe start talking about SOAP. Perhaps soaps for Valentines... ask him what kind of soaps does he like / use. Maybe you could even buy some for him. Cuz that's just nasty.
