When a joke was told in the old music halls, once the punchline was said, the orchestra would usually play a two or three note rhythm on a drum to indicate that that was the end of the joke. (Some modern day music hall comedians/end of the pier comics still have it) As it developed, the comedian began saying Boom-Boom at the end of the joke, to mean the same thing.
Basil Brush has adopted this, so after he tells a joke, he says Boom-Boom, and usually laughs as well.

I felt like this too, when I was 21. But someone told me I was nuts and I realized he was right. So I went to a mental health CLINIC as an outpatient and began talking to a therapist, once a week, for an hour. I totally looked forward to that hour. It was the only time I could express myself without fear. It took awhile but I eventually felt confident enough to take part in group therapy. That was very different too. And eventually, I grew. Emotionally and psychologically. It requires work. It means YOU have to take the first step. Look at it this way. this isn't the first time you've thought this. But for all the thinking you've done and with as much desire that you have to change, you CAN'T change. That's because sometimes, we just need a little help. Go set up a schedule with a therapist. Find out if you are covered under Medicare or something.
