I buy Similac Alimentum and in Canada it only comes in a 4 pack of 8oz ready to feed tins,I want to open 3 or 4 tins and pour them into a juice type container for easier access as apposed to opening a new tin every few hours.I just bought a 2 quart Rubbermaid container last night to use but just wanted to get some opinions on wether or not the formula would be good in there,it may only be in there for about 12 hours and has a good cap with a good seal on it.

As long as the formula is used within 24 hours and is kept refrigerated you will be fine.. give it a good shakin before pouring it into the bottle, and you may want to warm it a little. I used to do the same thing with my son's Prosobee. Just remember once 24 hours is up and if there is some remaining safest thing to do is toss it.

What I did when I was making her formula in bulk is that I would clean out an old plastic milk container real good with hot water and dishwashing liquid and put it in there. Or buy a cheap plastic pitcher and put it in there. That way it's easier to pour than a rubbermaid container. In other words, it's safe, but not as convenient. As long as it's plastic and not in metal containers after you open it.

It is perfectly safe as long is its closed tighly! 12 hours is not very long so it is fine. Good luck!

As long as you use it the same day there shouldn't be a problem.
