I used one that helped my baby sleep on his side. I was uncomfortable with laying him flat on his back, as I witnessed him spit up while on his back and begin to sputter. And we're told that lying babies on their tummies increases the risk of SIDS, so the option that gave me the most peace of mind was laying him on his side using a positioner. I really don't see how it would be dangerous, unless you put the positioner up by his face. I always had it around his bottom and tummy, below his arms.

I was worried about the same thing. I have a ten month old son now and he also loves to bury his face to go to sleep.. i just make sure there is nothing near him in his crib that he could potentially suffocate him. I was really worried the first couple times he did it. I would constantly get up to check on him in the middle of the night to make sure that he was still breathing. A couple times i even rolled him back over on to his back. But the next time i went in to check on him he was back on his face. I never used the sleep positioner and he's been fine.

Sleep positioners are not a good idea. As long as you have your baby very tightly swaddled your baby should not be able to roll over. They are more dangerous than anything.

If you want to put your baby to sleep in 20 seconds you must get the "Instant Baby Sleep" MP3 sound track. Here is their official web-site: http://www.instantbabysleep.net
The sound track gently produces energy over the full human hearing spectrum with an embedded pulse that gently eases the brain to the Alpha state well known for drowsiness and sleep induction.

my son used to always roll on his stomach...i sleep on my stomach and now that he's 7 he still sleeps on his stomach. When he was an infant I tried one of those sleep positioners. He always managed to roll anyways.

Don;t waste your moeny I would return it. No they are not safe. and they baby becomes used to sleeping on it and it becomes a habit to break. Also it is healthy for babies to wiggle and move in their crib helps them develop motor skills.

I had one, and it didn't work for my lil' girl because she's like a baby houdini and likes to escape out of things, so i tried it to keep her sleep a certain way and she just slid down and got out of it... so it was a waste for me personally.

I used one, my baby liked it, I think it helped him feel more secure instead of just swaddled in a big crib.

I also got one when I was pregnant. It was a waste of money, I never used the thing. I would not use it...I have also heard they were not safe.
