This question belongs more in the "Books and Authors" section, since Silver is a fictional character in Robert Louis Stevenson's novel "Treasure Island." However, in answer to your question, the person who had been marooned on the island where the treasure was was Ben Gunn. Actually, he wasn't so much left behind by Silver as by Captain Flint, whose crew Silver was a member of.
