I am facing my second infestation and have 2 exterminators prepared to help - one uses a cocktail spray, the other uses a spray and then a powder. I am wondering if anyone has used both before and can tell me which they think is better, and why.

YOu should use a carpet wahing machine on your mattress to clear away dead skinn. that the bed bugs are feeding on. or jsut vacuum your bed.

Don't know about the cocktails but I do know from experience from going to a friends island house that after they were sprayed and we went over there (st croix) we put a plastic mattress cover and pillow cases the problem went away. good luck

I have never had problems with bed bugs but I am very scared of any pesticides especially one that is used on anything that you would have such a close contact with like your bed. I know it is expensive but I have heard that getting rid of the mattresses and bedding is one sure way to get rid of the bugs. Also I would search for a organic or natural way to get rid of the bugs. I am Leary of the pesticides because I have a close friend who is fighting lymphatic cancer and hers is due to the use of pesticide.
