what controllers is needed to play Mario Kart on the Nintendo wii ?

I only have the wiimote at the moment - does this new release need a classic controller ?

I believe for the SNES/N64 games you need (or will be a whole better enjoyed) with the Classic controller as the remote doesn't have enough buttons or not comfortably placed. Also you probably be able to use the GameCube controller as well.

If you are talking about Mario Kart for the GameCube you have to have a GameCube controller. This is true for all GameCube games played on the Wii.
