Bang a gong?

I believe the only song that was in the Billboard top ten in AMERICA, was "Bang a Gong (Get it on)". For whatever reason, the title was changed in 1973 when it was released in America (original UK release title "Get it on").

They've had a number of other songs that did well on the UK charts inclusive of "Ride a White Swan", "Telegram Sam", and (personal favorite) "20th Century Boy".

Marc Bolan was HUGE in the UK... sadly didn't make it nearly as big in the states. The man started up some pretty cool music trends. A big talent that went away too soon like so many.
