I jumped in my truck and the oil pressure light came on. It wasn't on the day before. I added some oil, the dipstick is now reading good but I still have no pressure. How do I gain it back?

If your oil pressure switch is defective, replace it. Other than that, take it to a shop and have it checked out before you do any damage.

Probably defective oil pressure sending unit. Unless you are very talented young lady mechanic, you will need repair shop to change switch As long as you have oil in engine you should not hurt engine.

You or someone else has to put a screw in manual gauge on engine to verify low pressure, expect an expensive repair possibly.
