I have a ipod and so does my brother. He does not have a computer and wants to use mine to put his cds onto his ipod. When I plug it in my songs are being put onto his ipod automatically. Do you have any idea how to stop this problem accuring besides deleting my songs and putting them back on?

On your computer create a file in the name of your brother and send ON THAT FILE the music he burns on your computer !! Then he only has to download HIS file and not from your player

there are two ways you can do this -
you could either seperate your and his music into two seperate files on itunes, or you could select '' sync ipod manually '' when the ipod screen comes up after you've added your ipod.
another easier, but a bit more expensive way you could do this , if its just cds he wants to put on his ipod then you can buy certain cd players which you can plug into your ipod and the cd player will upload the cd automatically, there are also similar things available which do the same thing but aren't actually cd players, just dedicated ipod music transferers - you can buy these in pc world and comet, possibly in curry's as well

change the settings on itunes so that your ipod is not automatically updated when you plug it in... then you should be able to manually add the songs to separate ipods.
