The car is going 20 km/h faster than the train, (95-75=20) so it will take
(1.10 km)/(20 km/h) =0.055 hours (or 3.3 minutes or 3 minutes and 18 seconds)

In the opposite direction you add the speeds:
95 +75=170 km/h

(1.10 km)/(170 km/h) = .00647 hours (or 0.388 minutes, or 23.3 seconds)

Car length is ignored
95 km/h = 95000/(60x60) m/s = 475/18 m/s
75 km/h = 75000/(60x60) m/s = 375/18 m/s
Extra length travelled by the car in 1 second
= 475/18 m/s - 375/18 m/s
= 100/18 m
Extra distance to travel
= 1.1 km
= 1100 m

Time required
= 1100 /(100/18) s
= 1100 x 18 / 100
= 198 seconds

Second part
Distance travelled in 1 second
= 475/18 + 375/18
= 950/18

Time required
= 1100 /(950/18) s
= 1100 x 18 / 950 s

Same direction, the resultant velocity is the difference:

(95-75)*t=1.1

In the opposite direction, it is the sum:

(95+75)*t=1.1

resultant velocity=95km/h-75km/h=20km/h->0.5555...m/s
1.1km=1100m
t=displacement/velocity,1100/0.5555=1980s=33mins

when opposite direction
resultant velocity=95+75=170km/h=47.2m/s
1100m/47.2m/s=23.3s
