When Time Warner Cable and Comcast divvied up Adelphia, to please regulators, the two companies decided to swap a number of their franchises. That may be what you're experiencing.

well it was called cablevision in most larger markets then Time magazine merged and Warner bothers merged the a few years later purchased. There is no new owner.
