It is possible to get pregnant on your period but I am not sure of the survival rate of the fetus in such conditions.

It is possible, but rare. It depends on how soon after your period you ovulate. Normally ovulation occurs about 14 days after the first day of your period. I know I ovulate earlier than that, about 7-10 days after my first day.
