How do I kill the guy in the jail on Resident Evil 4?

I shoot him with my mine thrower 2 times, and he wont die, I only have a pistol after that, and I only have like 20 bullets for it. So what kills him?

if your talking about the guy who hunts you by sound,the trick is to keep your distance,and make sure you never reload or run near him,allways walk you move fast enough,have ashley wait on the stairs,and when you kick down the cage,and he breaks free start running away and around the middle pilar,then start walking,you have to shoot the parasite on his back,couple of the guns work on his chest area,but he takes more dmg on the parasite,if your hurt for ammo,use the bells in the area,knife it,then walk away,and when he charges it,he will get his claws stuck in the wall,then shoot the parasite,if your aim is good,and your lucky you should be able to drop him in a couple of shots,with almost any weapon,besides the pistol.so remember

never run
never reload next to him
use the bells if you need too
[if you are far enough away from him the bells arent needed]
dont bother shooting him in the chest,shoot the parasite
keep your distance

im not sur what you are talking about but if the guy has claws coming out of his hands then the only way kill him is to attack him from behide. this guy is blind but can hear really well so if you run he will attack you and if this is your first encounter with this king of monster then there maybe some bells running around that you can shoot that will make this thing on his back come out and you attack that and thats is what you got destory in order to kill him

there should be bells on the side of the walls hit those and he'll run after it. take that opportunity to shoot him on his back (where the parasite is located) and do the same on the other bell. if that fails, then throw grenades and hope for the best
