Not in the cap but some have them just under it. The rad cap has a pressure release valve and a vacuum valve to allow excessive pressure to be released and the vacuum valve to refill the rad from the overflow bottle when pressure is low.

No.Radiator cap holds pressure in coolant system around 14 lbs

Thermostat"s Job is to control flow of coolant. It is to keep temp
in the--eng & Head at I95 degree Fh.

I will not try to impress you with my years as Mechanic/ I am past
that, Others will be quick to say you can buy ,more or less lb.
press cap& Thermostat with more or less heat range/I"ll stay with
my statement

THE OLDER G.M CARS HAD A NECK WITH THE THERMOSTAT UNDER THE RADIATOR CAP
