I'm seriously thinking of getting a 3D/4D Ultrasound. However, i don't want to get ripped off with bogus pictures of my baby! Those who have done it, were you satisfied with the outcome? Has anyone ever had a negative experience?
Please share your thoughts.

I had a level 2 ultrasound with my first and although it wasn't considered a 3D ultrasound, the doctor was able to do a composite ultrasound photo of my baby's head and neck. This composite photo was actually several different frames taken as the baby moved, which ended up giving a 3D effect. I can't tell you how much I treasured this picture. I don't however think that I would pay the high prices specifically for a 3D ultrasound though. Believe me, having the normal one and hearing the doctor tell you everything is perfect, is worth gold in itself.

I had mine done at 19 weeks, at my OB/Gyn's office. It was done by a trained technician, and it was an amazing experience. I could see his movements, easily determine his sex organs, and I got to see him yawn! It made my baby much more real to me, and I noticed that he has his daddy's forehead! The rest of him is still developing, of course, so we'll see how reliable it is in June.
This should only be done by trained professionals, and should NOT last over half an hour. Some places (such as those you can find online fairly easily) are done by untrained professionals, so you should always do a little research before going. There have been studies that overexposure to ultrasounds MIGHT cause complications.

confident, or a replica of the ultrasound outcomes out of your checklist. lots of the three-D ultrasound places want to establish a sort of as data which you're being considered by using a doctor for prenatal care. clarification for that's because of the fact those 3-D/4d ultrasound places are no longer for scientific analysis and that they do no longer want human beings using them in that vogue. All you're able to could do is end by using your OBs place of work and talk to the nurse on the table to the two get a replica of your ultrasound percentor outcomes, or to get a word on valid letterhead pointing out which you're below pre-natal care and the standard practitioner could sign it. I did a sort of three-D/4d ultrasounds approximately 2 weeks in the past and delivered a photograph from my 18 week ultrasound. I definately think of the three-D/4d grew to become into worth it! superb of success to you!

The first time we went the baby had her feet in front her face the entire time. She would not budge. This was very disappointing to us considering the amount of money we had paid. Thankfully, the owners of the place invited us back for a second visit for free - in which we got some wonderful pictures! We paid $169 which I still think is a little high - but I was very pleased with the outcome.
Good luck.

My sister just the 4-D ultrasound a month ago. She was 7 months pregnant. We were not completely pleased since she was advised not to drink any caffeine by her doctor, however the people doing the ultrasound asked her to drink Coke or a soda with caffeine to stimulate the baby. Of course, she did not do that, and during the whole video, all we see is a little girl sleeping soundly. It wasn't that impressive at all. I wouldn't recommend it.
