Ya man exactly, who wants to watch a bunch of pansies in tights throwing a ball. In my opinion, any sport that does not require you to be in shape is not a sport at all.
You guys want to watch a real sport, watch Hockey. Its got hitting, speed, fighting, and more hitting, you name it. And it wont put you to sleep. It also requires skill, you need to know how to skate, shoot, hit, avoid hits, make plays, read plays, and see the ice all at the same time. You also have to have offensive/defensive instinct. Not to mention, you take alot of physical abuse.
Baseball on the other hand is more of a, how can I put this, "Sissy Sport". No physical contact, no physical abuse, you leave the game feeling as refreshed as you were before the game started. And lets face it, you have once simple task. You either throw the ball, hit the ball, or catch the ball.

Baseball is the ultimate sport. The best players have to be fast, strong, have a good arm, and great hand-eye coordination. What other sport requires such a complete athlete? In football, a player need only be able to run fast OR throw good OR catch good OR be big enough to move people out of the way. Plus, baseball players must play offense and defense. When is the last time a player did that in football? Not since the good ole days. The average football player today is a very one dimensional athlete.
Plus, baseball players have to go through a line up, batting in turn. They can't just hand the ball to one good player over and over. It is much more of a team game. No one player can dominate a game of baseball, like in football or basketball.
Oh, and I forgot to mention...baseball players play every day. In temperatures of over 120 degrees sometimes. They don't get a week off after every game. Of course football is popular, you only get to watch it once a week. Lengthen the football season to 162 games and see if it is still so popular.

Any person can set foot on the basketball court or football field and participate. There are many aspects of those games that simply involve somebody using there natural abilities, and serving the purpose of being a "body". To play baseball you must be able to actively participate at every position. One must actually possess a skill to play baseball.

And basketball is better, with all the hot dogs showing off by dunking,or football with all the TOs doing victory dances and acting like morons?Thats better than watching a pitcher battle one on one with a hitter?Managers using strategy to win?I guess baseball is too cerebral for you.I wouldnt diss the sport when so many people truly enjoy it.I dont go around dissing wrestling, even though I dont really care for it.I dont do that because I know a lot of people enjoy it,and take it seriously and thats cool with me.

You absolutely CAN NOT be cool if you don't like baseball.
It's the perfect combination of eye-hand coordination, strength, speed, endurance, strategy and mental toughness. It's the THINKING PERSON'S game.
And most of the players prefer their uniforms to be somewhat loose. It can hide the muscle twitches that could give away a pitcher's pick off move, and gives the batters a better chance to be hit by a pitch without actually being hit.
Are you sure you've not talking about skiers?

Here's the big deal about baseball (the great American past time), as quoted from one of my favorite movies of all time, Field Of Dreams:
Terence Mann (James Earl Jones)- "Ray, people will come Ray. They'll come to Iowa for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll turn up your driveway not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at your door as innocent as children, longing for the past. Of course, we won't mind if you look around, you'll say. It's only $20 per person. They'll pass over the money without even thinking about it: for it is money they have and peace they lack. And they'll walk out to the bleachers; sit in shirtsleeves on a perfect afternoon. They'll find they have reserved seats somewhere along one of the baselines, where they sat when they were children and cheered their heroes. And they'll watch the game and it'll be as if they dipped themselves in magic waters. The memories will be so thick they'll have to brush them away from their faces. People will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come."
That my friend, is why baseball is a big deal.

Baseball is like church. Many attend, few understand.
Whoever wants to know the heart and mind of America had better learn baseball, the rules and realities of the game.
I SUGGEST YOU GO KICK A BIG BALL INTO A BIG NET.

It is probobly the ultimate test in hand-eye coordination. Trying to hit a 95 mph fastball. Try to hit a round ball with a round bat and hit it " SQUARE". You have less than 1 second to decide if it is a ball or strike and then swing the bat.
