I have 2 fancy guppies and a black and white molly. The Molly and 1 guppy look fat and round belly but I am not sure if that means they are pregnant..how long is fish gestation anyway? The 2 guppies always look like they are trying to hump, always chasing each other and getting close and rubbing on each other..looks like fish sex to me!

You are right Julie, that sounds just like guppy sex. Healthy female guppies and mollies are almost always pregnant if there is a male guppy or molly around, so odds are very good your are. The gestation for both of these species is 28 days... give or take a few days depending on temp, water conditions, etc.

Often when you buy females of these species they are already pregnant so you should plan on babies before too long.

Best of luck with them!

Their belly looks kinda reddish and they are quite calm during pregnancy. I reccommend that if you do see swelling and pregnancy is evident, you should put the female in a sperating tank. Its a small plastic thing that goes inside your actual tank. Put the mom in there and wait like a few weeks. When she has given birth take her out (She'll eat them)
